We are from out of town and felt fortunate to have come across this place. It’s the best pizza we have had in years. We enjoyed the Detroit style pizza and butter garlic and herb crust. You can not go wrong with stopping here!
THE LODGE Signature pizza sauce, shredded Wisconsin cheese, goat cheese, fig preserves, prosciutto di parma, balsamic glaze, arugula, shaved parmesan. One of the best pizza dinners we have ever had!! Delicious & Heather was amazing server. ❤️💖🍕
Memorial Day weekend can be tricky with so many places closed, so we were super happy to stumble upon Third Coast Pizzeria! Even though it was absolutely packed, every single server was on top of their game. They handled the rush like pros and really made our visit awesome.
Third Coast Pizzeria absolutely nailed it! We ordered the Detroit-style Carnivoro pizza with the garlic butter crust—crispy edges, thick chewy center, and packed with bold meaty flavor. Definitely one of the best Detroit-style pies I’ve had in the U.P. The guacamole bites were a fun surprise—crispy on the outside with creamy avocado inside, and super snackable. The house salad was fresh and nicely portioned, a great balance to the heavier dishes. And the Michigan Smoked Cherry Old Fashioned? Easily a standout cocktail. Smoky, a little sweet, and perfectly balanced. Great service, laid-back vibe, and awesome food. Will definitely be back!
Not only just best deep dish that I have ever had but the best pizza in general that I’ve ever had. The wings were incredible as well. The drinks were made just right. Everything was served with love. It is a shame that we only come to town once a year. I can’t wait to be back! The staff were so kind and friendly. We felt right at home. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality and experience.
You wouldn’t expect to find amazing pizza up in the U.P. But third coast manages to make pizza that is out of this world! Whether you get deep dish, traditional, or their garlic pizza, you will have an explosion of flavor with every bite that will leave you wanting more!
Great restaurant with an interesting menu of pizzas and other pub food. My companions were all very happy with their pizzas. I had a meat-free burger with Stilton cheese which was delicious.
Third Coast Pizza was fantastic! They absolutely nailed the Detroit-style pizza—crispy edges, cheesy goodness, and a sauce that pops with flavor. Our server was so friendly and welcoming, even though we rolled in close to closing time. The location is on the main historic street and the vibe inside with wood floors, brick walls, and big TVs showing sports is just right. Huge plus that they’re open till 10 pm during the week when not much else is. Totally worth a visit!
I came to this restaurant the first night I was on vacation. It was so good. I came back another night. This is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had in Michigan. Between the two nights and the several people in our party, we tried a few different pizzas and they were all phenomenal .
We were referred to this restaurant by the hotel staff, and it exceeded our expectations. It was easily one of the best places we visited during our trip. The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and well worth the visit. I would highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.
